Lichfield Leisure Centre Raises Record-Breaking £878 for The Side by Side Childhood Cancer Foundation
Lichfield Leisure Centre raised an incredible, record-breaking £878 for SideBySide through a community coffee morning!
A fundraising coffee morning at Lichfield Leisure Centre has smashed the centre’s usual fundraising total, raising a record-breaking £878 to support families facing the financial pressures of childhood cancer.
The team at Lichfield Leisure Centre recently brought their community together for the special fundraising event in support of The Side by Side Childhood Cancer Foundation, raising a fantastic £878 through a coffee morning, bake sale and raffle.
The event saw staff, visitors and members of the local community come together to enjoy a cuppa, purchase some delicious treats and try their luck in the raffle, all whilst supporting a cause that is making a tangible difference to families across the UK.
Every Pound Makes a Difference
Side by Side was founded to provide direct financial assistance to working families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer, helping to ease the financial burden that often accompanies a diagnosis.
From reduced household income to increased travel expenses, hospital parking, food and energy bills, the financial impact of childhood cancer can be devastating.
Through its £500 family grants, the Foundation aims to provide practical, immediate relief when families need it most.
The £878 raised by Lichfield Leisure Centre will go a long way toward supporting 2 family support grants for families facing the financial burden of childhood cancer and doesn't include a further £240 raised from t-shirt sales via the charities website.
