Walsall Tattoo Studio Raises £2,000 for Charity
Confessions Tattoo Studio went all-in for SideBySide and raised an amazing £2000.
An all-female tattoo studio in Walsall has raised an incredible £2,000 for The Side by Side Childhood Cancer Foundation after dedicating an entire day to tattooing in support of families affected by childhood cancer.
The team at Confessions Tattoo Studio held a special charity flash day, offering a collection of Disney-inspired and cancer-awareness tattoos, with money raised from the event donated to Side by Side.
The response was incredible.
Throughout the day, clients came through the studio doors to choose their designs, get tattooed and, most importantly, help support families facing one of the most difficult periods imaginable.
By the end of the event, the Confessions team had raised an amazing £2,000.
Tattoos Making a Difference
The Side by Side Childhood Cancer Foundation was created to provide practical financial support to working families whose lives have been turned upside down by a childhood cancer diagnosis.
Treatment can mean months of hospital appointments and stays, additional travel, parking, food and energy costs, while parents can also find themselves reducing their hours or stepping away from work altogether to care for their child.
That is why fundraisers like Confessions flash day matter so much.
The £2,000 raised isn't simply a number on a fundraising page. It's money that can and will be used to provide direct financial grants to families while their child is going through cancer treatment.

An Incredible Effort From the Confessions Team
What made the fundraiser particularly special was the amount of work that went into it.
From creating the flash designs and promoting the event to spending the day tattooing everyone who came along, the women at Confessions gave their time and talent to support families they may never even meet.
Tom Down, founder of The Side by Side Childhood Cancer Foundation, said:
“£2,000 from a single day is absolutely incredible. We can't thank all of the ladies at Confessions enough, as well as every single person who booked a tattoo and supported the day.
“When you're a small charity, an amount like this can make a massive difference. This is money that can go directly towards helping families dealing with the financial impact of their child's cancer treatment.
“It's also brilliant to see a local business take an idea and completely run with it. They gave their time, their skills and their studio to support what we're trying to build at SideBySide, and we're incredibly grateful to them.”
Local Businesses Can Make a Huge Difference
The Confessions fundraiser is also a brilliant example of how businesses don't necessarily need to write a large cheque to make a meaningful contribution.
Sometimes, the most successful fundraisers come from using the skills, customers and community a business already has.
For Confessions, that meant tattoos.
For another business, it could be a sponsored challenge, bake sale, raffle, special product, fundraising day or something completely different.
What matters is people getting behind the same goal: helping families concentrate on their child rather than worrying about how they're going to pay the bills.
To everyone at Confessions Tattoo Studio, and to every person who got tattooed, donated, shared the event or helped make the day happen:
Thank you for standing SideBySide with families affected by childhood cancer. 💜💛
